The following are features of the IX-4EVMC: Compact Flash:The IX-4EVMC has three Type II compact Flash Sockets.The first compact flash module contains the operating system and a redundant backup.The second compact flash module is dedicated to customer voice and data files. The third compact flash module is used to backup the second compact flash modules as a mirror image. Independent Default: Each compact flash module can be defaulted independently. This means that the first compact flash module dedicated to operating system use can be upgraded or even defaulted without modifying any data on the second compact flash module (i.e. customer voice and data). SRAM: The IX-4EVMC uses SRAM for all primary memory purposes. In testing, this provides a 35% speed increase over the common DRAM. Automatic Gain Control: The IX-4EVMC uses a state-of-the-art Texas Instruments DSP chip.This chip provides automatic gain control and becomes active anytime the system is recording. The automatic gain control was tuned for optimum performance under most conditions. FAX Tone Detection: The IX-4EVMC system software includes a programmable menu for both FAX tone detection. Both A-law and μ-law compounding schemes are supported.The software automatically recognizes the incoming FAX tones and the IX-4EVMC menus must be programmed to transfer to the FAX machine. TDD Detection: The IX-4EVMC includes Telecommunication Device for the Deaf(TDD)detection. The software automatically recognizes the incoming TDD tones and the IX-4EVMC menus must be programmed to transfer to the TDD device. Ethernet Programming: The IX-4EVMC is now programmable using an IP connection. Specifically, the IX-4EVMC uses UDP for programming.This means that the IX-4EVMC can be programmed anywhere an IP connection is available.No more on-site visits for programming purposes.
